Last night after a long day of getting orders out and updating the site with the new UTZ style I was doing what I usually do, which is making a little music. While doing so, who comes and visits on a snowy night but my good friend Zandy Mangold. Zandy is a damn good photographer and when he isn’t behind his camera, he is probably training for a 150 mile marathon in Australia this coming April. So we jammed a lil’ bit and then Zandy had to hit the snowy trail again, but not before giving him a new Sock Monkey HeadHood for his journey!

Yes, it’s true. I’m holding my first sale ever. I feel there are entirely too many unworn HeadHoods here at my studio and I want to get them out of here and onto the streets. Over the last couple years, I’ve accumulated quite a few HeadHoods for flea markets, photoshoots, an occasional return, or an occasional F— up, which happens from time to time. As a kid, I would have never been able to shell out the money to buy a HeadHood, but might be able to do so if there was a sale! If you are brave enough to order a Sale HeadHood, drop me a line and let me know which faces are on your wish list and I will do my absolute best.

My good friend Blake stopped by to pick up his custom skull HeadHood equipped with both reflective tape to fend off danger as well as a messenger pocket on the back! I focused on the function of the sweatshirt and didn’t put too much thought into the final aesthetic. I’m definitely not a seamstress, but I’m getting there. Blake seemed extra stoked this time around and is going to pedal this one around the Brooklyn streets.

A little later that night, Danielle and Holland stopped by. While Holland sang his heart out at the keyboard, Danielle and I made some collages, which we hung up later that night around town.

While preparing for the High Roller Society Show, (which opens tomorrow!), I got kind of hooked on collaging these iconic faces I’ve been using for HeadHoods. Simply halving a face and swapping pieces from another creates a whole new mysterious character. It’s nothing revolutionary by all means, but it definitely works well with my medium and the combinations are almost endless. Most importantly it’s alot of fun to do and hang up around town. I’m hoping some of the more successful collage faces will make it on to Tshirts this upcoming season. For now, you may have to settle for a Marilyn T head checkin’ you out while you’re peeing at some of the local watering holes.

Would the real Mr. HeadHood please stand up?
My good friend Martin, the man in charge of the High Roller Society Gallery in London sent me these photos of Mr. HeadHood this past week. Mr. HeadHood will be shmoozing with friends at the New Year New Danger Gallery opening at the end of this month. I wish the real Mr. HeadHood was going, but I must admit this is a good replacement. Mr. HeadHood will be rocking a big baby headhood as well as my totem pole outfit.
